The axing comes after director Sam Raimi told the studio he couldn’t make a planned May-2011 release date. Tollywood and Kollywood grapevine is that Kamal Haasan's latest film, being directed by Selvaraghavan, has been named Vishwaroopam. Sources close to director Selvaraghavan say that the title is apt for the psychological thriller that he is making. However, there is a small hitch. A film with a similar title was released in the 80s. It had Sivaji Ganesan, Sujatha and Sri Deviin the lead and was directed by AC Trilogachandar.
