‘3 Idiots’ remake from January 26

Good news for Shankar fans. The filmmaker has now completed working on the scripts for the Telugu and Tamil remake of ‘3 Idiots’. The film will go on floors from January 26 at Ooty, where the scenes involving Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana, Omi Vaidya and Sathyaraj will be shot following a long stretch of second schedule in Dehradun.
Closer sources to Shankar have revealed that Suriya will be playing the lead role in both the versions and the discussions are on last leg now. It seems that Suriya’s remuneration will be hiked with this movie.
Since, the actor is busy now shooting for ‘Ezham Arivu’ he is expected to join the shooting sets from first week of March.
Suriya has a bet of Rs.125Crores running on him for 2011 as his three projects – ‘3 Idiots’ remake, ‘Ezham Arivu’ and ‘Maatraan’ are produced at big budgets.
